Dorothy E. Maze, 71 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, formerly of Sycamore died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dorothy Elaine Maze was born February 6, 1941 in Sycamore, Illinois the daughter of George and Marie (Naker) Hall.
The former Miss Dorothy Hall married Ellis E. Maze on March 22, 1966 in St. Charles, Illinois. They moved to Broken Arrow from Olney, Illinois in 1985. Ellis preceded her in death on March 12, 1996. Dorothy was a registered nurse for 48 years. She worked for the City of Faith, St. Francis Hospital and also provided Home Healthcare. She was a caregiver and enjoyed reading and taking care of her houseplants. She attended First Baptist Church.
Dorothy is survived by her 2 sons, Keith and wife Jeanette Maze of Dunda, IL and Donald Maze of Broken Arrow, OK; 3 grandchildren, Elaine, Kenneth, and Cassey; 2 great grandchildren; Seth and Crystal; 2 brothers, Richard and Marvin; and 3 sisters, Doris, Marion, Evelyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Evelyn and grandson, Jonathan Maze.
Her Graveside Service will be 12:00pm, Saturday July 28th, 2012 at Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Elgin, Illinois.
