Wilma Lee Hamilton, 78 of Sycamore died on Sunday, May 6, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family.

Wilma was born to Ed and Mary Shockley on Sept. 1, 1933 in Henryetta, OK. She united in marriage to Robert Gene Hamilton on Sept. 16, 1950 in Oakdale, CA. They spent the next 55 years together. Wilma was a member and a friend to the Church on St. Mary in Sycamore. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her 7 children, Steve (Marilyn) Hamilton, Stan (Cheryl) Hamilton, Mary (Charles) Tull, Carol Morris, John Hamilton, Patricia (David) Mitchell and Stephanie Hamilton; 19 grandchildren, Tosha (Ben) Ratliff,, Chris Hamilton, Jason Tull, Kristin Hamilton, Steven Hamilton, Jacqueline (Lee ) Jakubowicz, John Paul Hamilton, Raymond Arrestouih, Sara Hamilton, Jackie Tull, Jeff Tull, Edward Clenney, Jamie Richardson, Jeramie Richardson, Jesse Mitchell, Jessica Moore, Dylan Trafton, Jennifer Tull, Joshua Richardson; 20 great grandchildren, Morgan Ratliff, Austin Hamilton, Christopher "Hamilton" Nulle, Starlyn "Hamilton" Young, Connor Hamilton, Hunter Ratliff, Fisher Ratliff, James Tull, Bobby Hamilton, Kaylee Hamilton, Ben Hamilton, Lillian Tull, Wilson Tull, Clara "Tull" Colness, Jayden Piet,Tyshawn Anderson, Jr., Justin Jakubowicz, Logan Jakubowicz , Lance Gallagher and Landon Gemmel; one brother, Bob Shockley and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Mary Shockley; her husband, Robert; one son, James Lee Hamilton and one daughter, Grace Ann Trafton.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 10th at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary, 244 Waterman St. in Sycamore. Burial will be at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Sycamore.

Her Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore, with a wake service being recited at 7:30 PM.
